Welcome back to #WeeklyWins.

If you’re reading this, you survived Fat Tuesday and are probably ready to keep the fun rolling.

Valentine’s Day, Chinese New Year, and Black History Month and President’s Day celebrations take center stage when it comes to things to do in DC this week, but these are far from the only things going on.

There are also wine and film festivals to look forward to, as well as goat yoga, singles speed dating, skiing and snowboarding lessons, free weekly bingo and MORE.

Here are the fun things we’ve got on our radar this week:

Wednesday, 2/14

– We have some amazing last minute Valentine’s Day date ideas that may just trick your SO into thinking you’ve been planning for weeks! You’re welcome.

– The DC Independent Film Festival has a “storied history of extraordinary films” and returns to town starting today. If you’re a film fanatic, don’t miss 5 days of screenings, Q & A sessions, seminars, workshops, and more. The event runs through Monday, 2/19 and you can find the full schedule here.

Thursday, 2/15

– Chinese Lunar New Year is upon us and Thursday’s performance by the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center is one of the cornerstone events. If you’re looking for another way to celebrate, hit up and Ice Cream Jubilee locations for Lunar New Year Ice Cream Tastings.

Friday, 2/16

– Drink the District is back with a Valentine’s themed wine festival: 50 Shades of Rose. Sample over 100 wines and enjoy a decadent spread of mouth-watering aphrodisiacs. This is an all day Friday and Saturday event at The Fairfax Hotel at the French Embassy.

– Just because you’re single doesn’t mean you need to let your couple friends have all the fun this Valentine’s week. Ultra Bar is hosting a 4 Minute Dating with Open Bar Singles Party from 7:30-10pm on Friday

Chocolate City: A History of Race and Democracy in the Nation’s Capital is a new book that chronicles over 4 decades of struggles and activism in DC. The authors will be at the National Archives at noon on Friday for a Q&A and book signing.

Saturday, 2/17

– Chances are you’ve heard of glow yoga, beer yoga, or pizza yoga, but have you tried Goat Yoga?? (Yes, this is a real thing.) The next one goes down on Saturday, 2/17 at the Animal Welfare League of Arlington.

– If the Olympics has you ready to hit the slopes this weekend, Whitetail Resort is the place to be. Adventures in Downhill Skiing and Snowboarding with Lessons is going down Saturday, and even beginners will be shredding by the end of the day.

– You may love National Parks as much as we do, but you probably don’t realize how closely tied the park system is to the mail system, Head over to the Smithsonian’s National Postal Museum to see the latest exhibit, Trailblazing: 100 Years of Our National Parks and learn a lot you didn’t know.

Sunday, 2/18

– Head down to Chinatown on Sunday for the annual DC Chinese New Year’s Parade. The biggest parade in the DMV starts at 2pm and includes traditional lion and dragon dances, Kung Fu demonstrations, firecrackers, live music and marching bands.

O’Sullivan’s is your #SundayFunday headquarters thanks to FREE weekly bingo (hosted by DC Fray). The action happens each and every Sunday from 6-8pm with cool prizes on the line. Bingo is hard. Trivia is fun.

– Stroll the streets of DC on Sunday and learn all about one of the most infamous acts in American history with the President Lincoln Assassination Walking Tour. Meet at the Andrew Jackson equestrian statue in Lafayette Square then follow the  footsteps of one of America’s most iconic presidents;

Monday, 2/19

– If you can’t make it to O’Sullivan’s, but still want to get your FREE bingo on, you also get your chance every Monday night at Kingfisher. Same deal as Sunday bingo, but it goes down from 8-10pm. Learn about free weekly bingo at dcfray.com/bingo.

– There are numerous activities going on at Mount Vernon all President’s Day weekend, BUT on Monday you get to experience them for free as part of Washington’s Birthday Celebration.

Tuesday, 2/20

– Looking to take your adulting to the next level by becoming a homeowner? Hit up the How to Buy a Home Seminar at the Omni Shoreham Hotel. The seminar takes place from 7-10pm and experts will be on hand to guide you through the basics of homebuying to help you save money and have fun doing it.
