Wednesday, April 25

– Yoga + Wine Wednesday at Soapstone Market is the perfect combination to help you destress mid week. For $20 you get to practice an hour long flow and are handed a glass of wine right after to enjoy with your classmates

– Looking for a good laugh on a Wednesday? Check out Vietgone at Studio Theatre on 14th Street NW, a high-octane comedy about learning where you came from using pop culture, a live band, and funky rock-and-roll music. Did we mention this story is from a screenwriter for Marvel Studios?

Thursday, April 26

– The Caps open the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs at home against a familiar foe. For the third straight season, the Pittsburgh Penguins march their way to DC for Game 1, Thursday night. Will this be the year we finally get past our arch rivals?

– The annual Smithsonian Craft Show returns for the 36th year this week and with 120 artists representing 33 states, it will not disappoint. Be sure to check out the exhibitors basketry, furniture, jewelry, wearable art, and more!

– Calling all bookworms ( or those of you who keep promising yourselves you’re going to start reading more)! For one day only, you can visit a cool pop-up bookstore and enjoy author readings, signings, and browse thousands of books, CDs, and DVDs. The Rosslyn Spring Book Festival is Thursday and proceeds go to Turning the Page, a local non-profit dedicated to providing students education resources!

– NFL Draft night is upon us! Join fellow Redskins fans at H Street Country Club to celebrate the first round of the draft and enjoy happy hour specials on drinks and appetizers. The first 100 guests will receive a free T-shirt!

Friday, April 27

– Known as one of the most anticipated shopping weekends of the year, the Georgetown French Market makes its return for the Spring season. Come to Georgetown’s Book Hill neighborhood to witness an open-air market featuring 40+ locally owned merchants, restaurants, and galleries.

– April is Jazz Appreciation Month and to close it out, the National Museum of American History is hosting the finals of the annual Ella Fitzgerald Vocal Competition. Singers will honor legendary Brazilian composer Antonio Carlos Jobim by performing selections from his songbook!

– After a grinding game 4 win in DC this past weekend, the Wizards will be back in Capital One Arena for a potentially series-clinching game 6. Want to head to the game? Tickets are still available!

Saturday, April 28

– With April’s full moon appearing this Sunday, people are getting together the night before to experience DC’s monuments and memorials in spectacular fashion! The Saturday Night Moonwalk will start and end at the World War II memorial and cover three miles of the world’s most famous landmarks – all under a fully lit moon.

– National Harbor is hosting its annual National Wine and Food Festival, so grab your friends and go experience a world-class culinary event. All guests will enjoy a variety of international and local wines, beers, and spirits as well as great food from DC’s hottest restaurants and food trucks!

– Who’s up for a Mario Kart Tourney while also playing for a great cause? Northern Virginia Gaming Group, DMV Nintendo Switch Local Gaming Group, and DC eSports are working together to end Type 1 diabetes and this Mario Kart 8 tournament is the perfect way to bring people together. Sunday, April 29

Monday, April 30

– Don’t miss out on the last installment of the Cars at the Capital lineup! Through April 30th, the historic Cadillac Type 57 (used in WWI) will be on display at the National Mall between the National Gallery of Art and the National Air & Space Museum.

– Have something to look forward to early in the work week! Iconic American rock band, Modest Mouse, will be at The Anthem for one night only.

Tuesday, May 1

– Start off the month of May with an experience like no other! Passport DC is a month-long journey around the world featuring DC’s international community and its thriving culture. This event offers something for everyone including street festivals, performances, and workshops!

– Join the Nationals at Nats Park in honoring the service of America’s Navy as the club kicks off its Patriotic Series! Navy service members and their families will receive complimentary game day tickets as well as an opportunity to purchase additional tickets at a discounted rate.
