Weekly Wins 3/21 – 3/27
Believe it or not, spring is actually here and despite the snow, there is still plenty lined up this week to kick it off.
The Cherry Blossom Festival is underway, The Nats are returning from Florida, and there’s much more to fill your week with fun.
Here are our picks for the best things to do in DC this week:
Wednesday, 3/21
– The first Betty Who show at the 9:30 Club tonight sold out so quickly, that they added another late night show. There are still limited tickets available for the second show so you can see why it sold out so fast.
– If one snow day gave you cabin fever, you can go enjoy free wine and cheese tasting at Screwtop Wine Bar in Arlington to get out the house and quench your thirst.
Thursday, 3/22
– March Madness continues with Sweet 16 game starting tomorrow. Now that your bracket is fully busted, you can relax a little bit and catch the game at your favorite sports bar.
–Bier Baron Tavern has $3.50 Draft Night on Thursdays. If you want to go back twice, they are doing an End of Winter Spout Tapping on Friday to celebrate the start of spring.
Friday, 3/23
– The newest ARTECHOUSE exhibit is open for spring, but the Cherry Blast event is only running for two days: Friday and Saturday. Go check out the Sakura Yume installation and enjoy the live performances that will only be offered this weekend.
– The rooftop globes at The Watergate Hotel got a makeover for Cherry Blossom season. Make a reservation for dinner and drinks to kick off your weekend in a Garden Globe.
Saturday, 3/24
– In case you haven’t caught on yet, The National Cherry Blossom Festival is happening. The Smithsonian American Art Museum is celebrating Japanese culture with performances all for free admission.
– DJ Khaled and Demi Lovato are coming to Capital One Arena as part of their North American tour this Saturday.
Sunday, 3/25
– Practice your water coloring over wine and pizza at Timber Pizza for Art You Can Eat. We can’t think of anything much better than art, pizza, and wine.
– Get your free ticket for the Cherry Blossom Festival Opening Ceremony at Warner Theatre.
-As always, Free Bingo is going down at O’Sullivan’s Irish Pub.
Monday, 3/26
– Enjoy a meal in the presence of a five time gold winning Olympian. The National Press Club is hosting their Headliners Luncheon with Katie Ledecky.
– In case you miss it on Sunday, Free Bingo is going down again at Kingfisher every Monday.
Tuesday, 3/27
– The Nats are back in town for a preseason game against the Twins! The Bullpen will also be opening it’s doors after the long winter. Show us your favorite places to watch a game this season by tagging #FrayLife on your instagram photos.
– Tuesday is your last chance to sign up for bar sports with DC Fray. You might’ve missed your chance to play team sports, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy happy hours and “sports” Sign up before midnight to live your best life this spring.
