Insomnia Escape Room, anyone?

Maybe you’ve already tried and conquered an escape room or maybe it got the best of you but either way, escape rooms continue to be a daunting task as their popularity takes over the nation.

Washington, D.C. is home to more than 7 escape rooms?!? Keeping in mind that when I say DC, I mean the DMV area (there are rooms that claim DC but are way over the river in NoVa)

Escape rooms tend to be an easy way to bring (force) your friends or office team to work together to literally get yourselves out of a locked room. Claustrophobia anyone?

And recently, we did just that at DC Fray.

Insomnia Escape Room opened at the end of Nov. in 2015.

The owner, Alex, hails from Russia where the escape room game is strong—apparently we’re slacking in the US.

He and his team crafted Insomnia Escape Room to their expectations, currently housing two rooms with a third virtual reality room to be completed in a couple of months; the first VR room in DC!

Despite the stiff competition in DC, Alex knew he could keep one step above the competition.

HIs favorite part of Insomnia Escape Room? Watching how people’s mindsets change during the competition! You may start out rather closed off to the idea but as the game unfolds, one tends to become more open-minded to the play itself and ultimately, ends all in and rather excited!

Alex and the team at Insomnia Escape Room are in the business to make people happy and just like DC Fray, they’re bringing people together to play more often.

The upcoming weekend is a GREAT excuse to try Insomnia Escape Room and then treat yourself to Surfside Taco for the best tacos DC has to offer with a side of margarita!

***for the record, the DC Fray team escaped BOTH rooms because well, that’s how we roll***
