Love is patient, love is kind. Love is expensive sometimes, but it doesn’t have to be. Valentine’s Day takes a lot of heat for being the most commercial holiday, so fight that stigma by making your honey feel extra loved all February long without swiping that credit card!
Check out this list of absolutely romantic February dates that cost almost nothing but your time. If you hit any of these up this V-Day season, make sure to share us in the fun using #FrayLife and #DCFray!
A Historic Georgetown Date
In Honor of Washington’s Birthday, Tudor Place is offering tours for only $1 throughout the entire month of February! Tudor Place might be one of the most beautiful properties in all of Georgetown, and it is the only historic home museum with links to George and Martha (#couplegoals), which means it’s a perfect backdrop for a romantic stroll through the gardens. Even in February, the botanicals are lush enough to make you feel secluded. Snap a few shots in your coziest scarves. Afterward, the Georgetown waterfront is nearby if you want to extend the afternoon!
Concert Date Night
Songbyrd Cafe in DC’s AdMo neighborhood ALWAYS has great shows, and much of their February line up ranges from free to $10 ‘suggested donation’! Or, does your sweetie love classical music? The National Gallery of Art regularly provides free concerts featuring all kinds of great acts. In the month of February, there are four different offerings! Learn more online at the NGA website.
Bonus Idea for your Artsy Date: The Zenith Art Gallery is also serving up Romantic vibes all February long- see their “Love in All Mediums” Exhibit now through March 23rd.

Even better, stop by Right Proper Brewing and pick up your charcuterie supplies AND a growler to share.
Take her out to the (basket)ball game!
