Tuesday, May 1

Passport DC is a month-long journey around the world featuring DC’s international community and its thriving culture. This event offers something for everyone including street festivals, performances, and workshops!

– If you want to get in on some awesome social sports action, before summer hits, Tuesday is your last chance. DC Fray has limited spots available in our late spring leagues. Check them out and sign up by Tuesday!

Thursday, May 3

– Hamilton fans! If you were unable to snag tickets to the award winning musical, there’s a cool alternative happening at Tudor Place! Enjoy drinks, appetizers, desserts while experiencing a mini-exhibit devoted to Hamilton and his legacy.

Friday, May 4

– Royal Wedding Pop-Up Bar – Didn’t get your royal wedding invite in the mail? Have no fear! Beginning May 4th, Drink Company has constructed a pop-up bar experience completely devoted to the royal wedding. You can even catch the viewing party for the wedding on May 19th.

Saturday, May 5

– Cinco de Mayo, Beats and Brunch Rooftop Party – Experience one of the best brunch day parties in the DMV on Cinco de Mayo! RedRocks DC is hosting a #BeatsAndBrunch event complete with tequila specials and pinatas filled with surprises.

– Cinco de Mayo Pig Roast – Tacos? Tequila? And a DJ? How about a Yucatan pig roast? What else could you want on Cinco de Mayo? Don’t miss out on this rooftop fiesta surrounded by panoramic views of DC and all of the tacos you can eat at Taco Bamba!

– Finally an excuse to break out that Darth Vader mask that’s been in the closet since Halloween. Grab a beer and your favorite Wookiee and watch the Nats take on the Phillies for STAR WARS Day at Nats Park. Be sure to check out live combats and other STAR WARS-themed festivities.

Thursday, May 10

– Explore the National Gallery of Art after hours with Evenings at the Edge! Accompanied by Chris Brubeck’s Triple Play, New York–based Elisa Monte Dance Company will perform throughout the Gallery’s East Building alongside dancers from DC’s own Joy of Motion.

Saturday, May 12

– The European Union Open House allows Embassies of 28 EU Member States to the US to open their doors to the public for a rare inside look at America’s cultural heritage and national traditions.

– Lose yourself in the “Spirit of Funk” at this one-of-a-kind day fair, parade, and music festival. With over 100 musical acts and plenty of activities, the Funk Parade is set to go all day and all night.

– The 80s are back for one night only at the Hirshhorn Museum’s Spring Gala. If you’re a fan of Madonna, MTV, and everything 80s, don’t miss out on this dinner party that celebrates the iconic decade.

– Bardo Brewing in Southeast is gearing up for a wild night. This silent disco beer garden party comes equipped with multiple DJs, hundreds of partiers, and a bunch of glow in the dark gear. This outdoor party is worth checking out.

Sunday, May 13

– Do something special with your mother this Mother’s Day with a Mother’s day Paint & Sip, a unique paint, sip, and shopping experience. Mimosas will be served and a special surprise will be gifted to all of the Moms.

Monday, May 14

– One of the music industries most popular artists, Bon Jovi, makes their way to Capital One Arena. Check out the show and jam out to classic songs like “Livin’ on a Prayer, You Give Love a Bad Name, and Wanted Dead or Alive. Tickets are for sale for as low as $20.

Taste dishes crafted by world-renowned chefs as they compete for global bragging rights. This event also features a sampling of exotic cocktails, live music, and entertainers from a wide variety of cultures.

Friday, May 18

 

– Turn your ordinary Friday commute into a fun, healthy morning of exercise with Bike to Work Day 2018! Be one of the first 20,000 to register, attend the event, then bike to your choice of 100 pit stops where there will free T-shirts, refreshments, and even a raffle for a chance to win a new bike.

– Go back in time and celebrate the history of wine with the Spring Wine Festival and Sunset Tour. The event features exclusive evening tours of George Washington’s historic Mount Vernon estate. So bring a blanket, soak in the breathtaking views, and sample the finest Virginia wines.

 – Circle your calendars for another unforgettable DC Fray event unlike any other with our Sunset Zipline & Bonfire extravaganza! Escape the city for a night and join us for an epic zipline adventure. The festivities include zipline course overlooking the Potomac River, a catered BBQ, a bonfire (complete with s’mores), and all of the beer and wine you could want. What else could you want for an adventurous Saturday night out? The best part is if you can’t make this one, there’s another on the 26th!
