A lot of fun stuff is going on this week, like a DC United pregame, Drake concert, beer and wine fests, scavenger hunts and so much more!

Wednesday, September 12
– Cheering on DC United after work sounds like an awesome way to finish off hump day to us. There will be a pregame for the DC United v. Minnesota United FC game from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mission Navy Yard. The happy hour pregame will feature giveaways with cool games and prizes, $5 Heinekens, and the first 50 people to enter will get a free Heineken! Register here.
– Sep. 12 is the 65th anniversary of the Kennedy’s wedding. To commemorate the anniversary and specifically First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy, Washington, DC History & Culture is offering a “Jacqueline Kennedy’s Georgetown” Guided Walking Tour. You will see many of the places Jackie spent time at, prior to and during her time in The White House. The tour begins at 6 p.m. and tickets are $6.90.
Thursday, September 13
– Immerse yourself in culture and art Thursday night at “September Evenings at the Edge: After Hours at the National Gallery of Art.” At the event, you will enjoy Brit-inspired pop-up talks, live performances, and have a first sneak-peak at the exhibition Rachel Whiteread before the public gets to see it. British fare will be available for purchase, and don’t forget to try a Pimm’s cup on the Roof Terrace Bar! The event is free and starts at 6 p.m., but you can register here.
– You don’t want to be the only one not singing along to “God’s Plan” Wednesday and Thursday night at the Capital One Arena. Arguably the most popular rapper today, Drake will bring his “Aubrey and the Three Migos Tour” to DC at 7 p.m. The lowest priced tickets are currently going for $59.50. Don’t miss out on one of the best concerts to come to DC this year!
– Thinking about grad school? Want to apply for $7 million worth of scholarships? The top-ranked grad schools from around the world will be at the QS MBA and Master’s events on Thursday. Friday, September 14
– Fairfax County Economic Development Authority will host “Social Media Week Fairfax” from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m at the Capital One Headquarters. Fairfax County and the Metro DC region is one of the world’s best locations for startups technology. This goal of this conference is to look at the escalating conflict between individualism and community. A number of speakers and presentations will be featured. You can see a full list here.
– Head to Nationals Park for the first game of this weekend’s series against the Atlanta Braves. The game begins at 7:35 p.m. Tickets are currently going for as low as $8.00
– Don’t miss your chance to see the world’s top streetballers go head to head right here in DC when the Redbull Reign World Finals come to town! This global 3-on-3 basketball tournament challenges ballers from 16 nations in a high-endurance, offensive-driven competition going down Friday and Saturday.
Saturday, September 15
– Spend your Saturday at the Capital BrewFest! With a ticket, you will receive a tasting cup and get to sample more than 50 rare and seasonal beers from local and regional breweries, and more than 30 wines and many ciders and gluten-free drinks. Seven different types of food will be available for purchase, and you’ll get to enjoy live entertainment from DJ Black Wizard. The event is all day long, 12:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at The Fairgrounds. Tickets are $45.95
– Saturday is apparently the day of beer and wine fests. “DC Wine Fest! Fall Edition” will take place 12 to 10 p.m. at Big Chief. You will get to sample premium wines while enjoying live entertainment. Tickets are $35.
– Join Mayor Bowser at the “Marvin Gaye Park Summer Concert Series” from 3 to 7 p.m. at Marvin Gaye Park. This will be an awesome opportunity to experience music, art, food, and to shop at local vendors. Admission is free, and the event will take place rain or shine!
Sunday, September 16
– Who said scavenger hunts are only for little kids? Definitely not us! “One Team Scavenger Hunt Adventure: Washington DC” is a combination between a scavenger hunt, a self-guided tour, and The Amazing Race®. You will be sent to various locations to answer questions or solve puzzles to receive the next clue. It’s an exciting way to experience DC! Tickets are $24.99 per team (up to 6 people.)
– Why not be a tourist for a day? Go on a Washington DC sightseeing tour from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. You will get to see all of the best sights in Washington on a four-hour tour while riding on an air-conditioned bus. Monday, September 17
– Coffee lovers have to check out Stumptown’s event, “DC Origins.” During this hour and a half event, participants will learn all about the drink from cultivation, to processing, to roasting, and how Stumptown became coffee industry leaders. This will be an experience of imagery, taste, and tactile exploration.
– Cap your Monday with a DC Waterfront Drink Excursion. The excursion is two to three hours long. You will tour different bars with a local guide, and experience a private mixology session, beautiful patio views, and delicious cocktails. The excursion is a perfect way for you and some friends to check out the DC Boardwalk nightlife scene. Tickets are $99.
Tuesday, September 18
– If you’re looking to make new business connections, this is just the event for you. You’ve heard of speed dating, but how about speed networking? It’s just like speed dating, only not the dating part. It is a fun way to meet other professionals and explore business opportunities. The event will begin at 6 p.m. at Pennsylvania 6. Tickets are $21.50
