We’ve done it. We’ve reached Memorial Day Weekend week a.k.a the official start of Summer.

Fresh off the Royal Wedding (and finally some sunshine), DC has plenty of fun-filled events and activities coming your way like watersports, midnight BBQs, and the largest parade in the nation, just to name a few.

#FrayLife is making fun possible all week long, so here are our favorites heading into a well deserved three-day weekend:

Wednesday, May 23

– Best two words in sports: Game Seven. Grab your Caps gear and head to Capital One Arena for a game 7 viewing party! Admission is free through the F Street entrance and the team store will also be open offering a 25% discount on all playoff merchandise. Make sure you are rocking the red!

Thursday, May 24

– Country Music superstar Jason Aldean makes his way to the gorgeous outdoor Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD.

– Popular English electronic music duo Mount Kimbie is in town to showcase their latest in ambient sounds. Catch them for one night only at the Black Cat theatre!

– The Friday night concert series returns to Yards Park! Come relax and enjoy the scenic river view and a fantastic collection of bands. Family-friendly lyrics and grassy open space make this an enjoyable event for adults and kids alike.

Capital SUP DC is opening its doors for the summer to kick off The Year of the Anacostia! All services will be free, so grab a stand up paddle board, kayak, or pedal board and go explore the river watersports style.

Saturday, May 26

– With a cool twist on traditional BBQ, the Midnite BBQ is sure to please all food lovers. This event was created by influencers with a love of good vibes and variety. Featuring local food trucks, chefs, and DJs, this party is one you do not want to miss.

– If you missed out on last week’s sold out Sunset Zipline & Bonfire Party, have no fear! Tickets for the 3PM bus are still available. Take advantage of the amazing views, yummy BBQ, and all you can drink beer & wine!

Sunday, May 27

– Celebrate Memorial Day this year with uplifting musical performances, documentary footage, and dramatic readings that honor the men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice. The National Memorial Day Concert is an award-winning event that the entire family can enjoy.

– Kick off summer properly with a cruise across the Potomac River. Equipped with a full bar and live music, DC’s Psytrance Boat Party is a perfect addition to your Sunday Funday list.

The Sip and Splash Pool Party is another favorite to add to your list of Memorial Day weekend adult activities. What’s better than enjoying full bottle service in a cabana with your closest friends? Answer: nothing.

Monday, May 28

– Make your way down to Constitution Avenue and take in the sights and sounds of the nation’s largest Memorial Day parade! With appearances from several celebrity guests and live music from some of the biggest names in country, this family-friendly event is a must see.

Tuesday, May 29

– Squeeze in an evening of culture to your week with Ballet Nacional de Cuba. This fantastic theatre spectacle will bring its jaw-dropping technique and talented dancers to the Kennedy Center for performances of two classics as part of Artes de Cuba. May 29 and 30 will feature performances of Don Quixote.
