Want to Make Your Happy Hour Even Happier? Relax and Unwind at DC’s Best Waterfront HH Spots.

 

 

Nothing says summer more than hanging out with your friends and family waterside with an ice-cold drink, but what if you’re not able (or willing to fight the traffic) to make it to the beach or spend a weekend at a lake house?  

Don’t worry – you can get your water fix right here in D.C. and watch the kayakers as you sip your drink right on the river!  Check out some of our favorite waterfront locations to happy hour in style all summer long!

Osteria Morini

(301 Water Street Southeast, Suite 109)

Taste a bit of Italy in the Navy Yard by visiting Osteria Morini.  Stop by Monday through Friday between 4 and 7 pm for their happy hour special – 20% off all drinks!

District Winery

(385 Water St SE)

Stop by District Winery if you’re craving a sip of locally made vino. Tastings are half price Monday through Thursday to encourage a little excitement on weekdays. Choose from three flight options ranging from $14 to $16.  Rather have a full glass? Head to Ana at District Winery for some waterfront dining or partake in their happy hour at the bar Monday through Friday from 3:30-6: 30 pm.

Salt Line

(79 Potomac Ave SE)

Big fan of baseball? Get your drink fix before the game at Salt Line, which opens early before every Nats game. Stop in weekdays from 3-6pm for their happy hour which includes $3 Narragansett Lager, $5 wine and draft beer, and half-priced oysters. Get your fix of the waterfront view at their outdoor bar and patio, which is open 3pm-midnight Monday through Thursday and for extended hours on weekends.

Agua 301

Head to Yards Park to get your fix of some modern Mexican fare. Agua 301 has happy hour from 3:30-7pm every day. Partying all night long? Their drink specials also apply from 9 pm to close every single day! If Thirsty Thursday is your thing, happy hour deals include 2 for $5 tacos, $4 draft beers, $5 wines, and $6 select drinks. Grab some outdoor seating for a view of the Anacostia!

Due South

(301 Water St, SE, Navy Yard)

Due South is the place to go if you’ve been craving southern fare. Restaurant happy hour is from 3:30-6:30 pm Monday through Friday, featuring select yummy bar bites like pulled pork nachos and butter mean hummus. Drink specials include $5 beers, $6 select wines, and $7 Kentucky Mules or whiskey over the day!  For an excellent water-side view head to Due South Dockside, right behind the restaurant.

#FrayLife Tip: Big Nats fan but didn’t manage to nab tickets to the game? Not to worry! Due South Dockside has an outdoor TV and sound system that plays all Nats home games.
