The sweet, long Summer days are finally upon us- and we are so ready to get lit at our first River Floatilla of the year!
Grab your cooler, fave brews and swimsuit—we’ll provide the transportation, floaties and watergun action.
We’ll meet at the Dunkin Donuts in Arlington (near the Ballston Metro stop) between 7-7:30am for check-in, and leave PROMPTLY at 8am to Front Royal Canoe.
It’s roughly a 2 hour drive, but don’t worry, we will be on a cozy charter bus and can take turns DJ-ing and lip syncing.
After a 10am arrival, your event coordinator will quickly check the groups in, while you ready the coolers, and then we’ll jump on the shuttle buses for a short 1 mile ride down to the river.
Total time on the river can be anywhere from 2-4 hours depending on water levels.
After our epic float, we’ll gather back on the buses around 2pm, and arrive back at the Dunkin Donuts around 4pm.
Early bird registration is only $69 so reserve your tubes now. We can’t wait to play with you!
Need to know, please read!
Bring your own booze but absolutely no glass allowed on the river.
No styrofoam coolers allowed. Plastic only. We are getting 1 FREE cooler tube for every 4 people. Additional cooler tubes are available for $6. Cooler tubes are not actual coolers, so bring your own, it’s just a separate float made specifically to hold coolers.
No flip-flops. Water shoes are required. Front River Canoe is really strict about this, you will NOT be allowed on the river without shoes. We know watershoes aren’t the sexiest, but it’s for your protection! No one wants to cut their feet on the rocks getting in or out of a tube. Old sneakers, crocs, sandals with a heel strap or watershoes are all allowed, just not flip-flops.
Life vests are required on the water, and will be provided by Front Royal. You don’t have to WEAR them if you don’t want to (although Front Royal and DC Fray highly recommends this!) But you WILL have to take a life vest and tie it to your tube if you don’t want to physically wear it.
Bring sunscreen! (yeah… our mom told us to say that)
Use the restroom before boarding the bus, there’s no restrooms on board, and we will not make any pit stops as we’re on a tight schedule.
We’ll bring water and light snacks, food available at the venue for purchase.
Waivers required to party with us.
